Waigeo Cuscus or Waigeo Spotted Cuscus Raja Ampat (Spilocuscus papuensis) is a species of marsupial in the Phalangeridae family. The Waigeo cuscus is endemic to Waigeo Island,[2] hence the name Waigeo cuscus. In contrast to other members of the family of the genus Spilocuscus, each gender is whitish in color with black spots. The Waigeo cuscus is still common, but in some areas it is threatened with extinction, due to hunting and habitat loss.

Waigeo Cuscus Reproduction
Cuscus mating time occurs throughout the year with a gestation period of around 13 days. When born, cubs are usually kept by the mother in a pouch for 6-7 months. Once giving birth to a cuscus mother can produce three puppies.
